DesignBuilder

DesignBuilder is a user interface to EnergyPlus, considered to be the world’s most advanced building simulation software, and is recently extended with a CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) module. DesignBuilder can handle very complex building models, and may run CFD analyses also on an urban level.

Input formats

Building models may easily be built from scratch, but also based on 2D DXF files from any CAD program, plans in a number of graphical forms, or 3D gbXML files from Revit, Archicad, Microstation etc.
