Green Building Certification CEC Design assists its partners with advanced computer simulation studies in Building Energy Performance Ratings for LEED/BREEAM and other sustainability certifications, based on ASHRAE standards. Green Building Certification is becoming compulsory in a growing number of countries around the world. With powerful computer simulation software, very large models may be built to an accurate detailing degree. Output includes annual, monthly and hourly energy consumption, HVAC equipment sizing, energy balances, CO2 emissions, artificial and daylighting levels, and many other factors. Comparing the actual design with a pre-defined baseline building gives certain credits according to the certification systems. For new construction it is important that the LEED performance ratings are well integrated into the design process to obtain sustainable and cost-effective solutions.
